Sincere Ministers of the New Covenant

Sincere Ministers of the New Covenant

Sep 13, 2020

Passage: 2 Corinthians 2:14-3:6

Preacher: Allen Duty

Series: Messy Church: 2nd Corinthians

Category: Sunday Morning

Summary:

Things weren't looking great for Paul - he had been rejected at Corinth, opposed in Ephesus, and was overcome with anxiety in Troas. It certainly didn't seem like his ministry was being blessed by God. His opponents in Corinth capitalized on those realities and the fact that Paul and his companions didn't have any letters of recommendation like they did. However, Paul believed that he was being led in "triumphal procession" by Christ, and the fact that he was being rejected at times simply meant that he was being faithful to preach the truth. At any rate, the Corinthians should know that his ministry carried the blessing of God because they had experienced radical life transformation through Paul's preaching and leadership.
