Micah grew up in a strong Christian family and came to faith at an early age in his home church of First Baptist Church of Borger, Texas. He attended Texas Tech for his undergraduate degree before moving to MIT for his doctorate, all in chemical engineering. He married his high school sweetheart Heather in 2005, and they have four children. He has a heart for college students and works closely with the college ministry at New Life. His interests include theology, philosophy, and the interaction between religion and science.
In addition to his roles at New Life, Micah serves as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University and is a long-time leader in the TAMU Christian Faculty Network. He is also the advisor for several on-campus student groups, including Navigators, Ratio Christi, Intervarsity Graduate Ministries, and Fellowship of Christian Grads.
