Joshua grew up in San Diego, California where he graduated from Serra High School. During his high school years, the Lord drew Joshua to himself granting him the gift of repentance and faith. Shortly after his conversion, Joshua sensed a call to ministry and took the first steps toward fulfilling this calling by attending San Diego Christian College, earning his B.A. in Biblical Studies. In 2004, one week after graduating from college, Joshua married his wonderful wife, Dona, and today they have four amazing children: Mackenzie, Kaylee, Aubrey, and Bradley.
Desiring further preparation for ministry, Joshua and Dona moved to Louisville, KY where he earned his M.A. in Theological Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduation, Joshua moved back to San Diego and helped plant Grace Church in 2012. He became a non-staff elder in 2016 and a year later he came on staff full-time.
In 2022, Joshua accepted the call to become the Equipping Pastor at New Life, and he and his family moved to College Station in 2023. Joshua loves being with his family, reading, long-distance running, and cheering on the San Diego Padres!
