Born in Coweta, Oklahoma, John was raised by faithful parents modeled Jesus well. By God’s grace, he came to faith as a young child. A certified high-school chemistry teacher, John holds degrees in Secondary Education, Aerospace Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering all from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!). He serves with Bethel Agricultural Association, a faith based non-profit working with local production farmers to develop an agricultural training center and testing laboratory in Woliso, Ethiopia.

John and his wife Briana moved to the Brazos Valley in October 2020 after Briana accepted a position at Texas A&M as a soil science professor. They joined New Life in January 2021. John loves fountain pens, typewriters, metalcore music, and enjoys reading, being outside with Briana, and baking delicious desserts.
