Born and raised in Irving, Texas, Cody became a Christian when he was 17 years old through the faithful preaching of the Word. He realized that even in his type-A firstborn perfection he couldn’t meet God’s perfect standard but needed Christ. Cody moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M and married his high school sweetheart, Chelsea, while in college. Together they have three children.
Cody was part of the group that planted New Life and served the church in numerous roles before answering the call to be the Administrative Pastor. Cody loves the people of New Life – their love for the Bible, desire to live life together, and passion to make the truth known to others. One of his greatest joys is working and serving with leaders who love Jesus and New Life. Although he spends his days working with his brain; serving the church and counseling others on marriage and finances; at heart, Cody is an introvert and homebody who would happily get his hands dirty remodeling the house or tinkering with cars. The three great loves of his life are Jesus, Chelsea, and his kids.
