After growing up in Decatur, Texas, Chris first lived in Aggieland from 2002 to 2007 while completing undergraduate degrees in International Studies and Spanish. He spent the next five years in Austin before returning to College Station in 2012 with his wife, Tearney, and their growing family, which now includes three children. Chris’ heart was changed to follow Christ after college when he realized knowing about Jesus is not the same as knowing Jesus. At New Life, Chris has enjoyed several years as a life group leader, volunteering in the next-gen ministry, and serving as a deacon. His current career is in grants management at Greater Texas Foundation.
