NEXTGEN
Children & Sunday Worship
Children are a special part of the New Life family. Children of all ages are welcomed in our worship services. While they won’t understand every part of our worship service, their theology, character, and habits are formed by what they see and hear each week.
One of the ways we aim to help both children and parents is by providing NextGen resources each Sunday. Bags with paper, pencils, and crayons are available for younger children, as well as a worship guide with activities focused on the sermon topic and pictures to color. We encourage older children and youth to come to church with their Bibles, pens or pencils, and a notebook, ready to actively engage in worship. Sermon guides are available to help young people follow along and learn from God’s Word along with the rest of the church body.
In addition to these resources, we offer preschool care for children 5 years old and under (Pre-K) during our worship services. Our trained preschool team loves caring for and sharing the Gospel with young children.
Sunday Morning Discipleship
During the school year, the NextGen ministries offer intentional discipleship programs on Sunday mornings. Meeting in both the Main Building (Suite 115) and The Preserve (Suite 110), these classes are designed to help children and youth learn God’s Word and apply it to their lives. Each class includes prayer, study, memorization of Scripture and catechism, and times of fellowship and fun. NextGen also hosts special gatherings and events for various age groups throughout the year.
Worship & Discipleship at Home
God gives parents the job of raising their children and teaching them the truth found in His Word. At New Life, we encourage fathers and mothers to care for their children’s souls, particularly through gathering the family for regular family worship.
Family worship doesn’t have to be long and complicated. In fact, it shouldn’t be either of those things! Instead, it should be:
- Consistent: try to gather together daily to worship God
- Age-Appropriate: consider the age and maturity level of the children
- Focused: read the Bible, pray, and sing together
- Joyful: don’t make family worship a burden for either parents or children, but a joyful time of gathering together to worship our gracious God

PRESCHOOL
New Life Preschool serves families with children from infancy through Pre-K. Our goal is to help parents in the work of discipleship by providing outstanding care and age-appropriate Bible teaching while your children are with us. We have discipleship classes for preschoolers every Sunday morning. Younger children meet in rooms in the Main Building, while older preschoolers meet in The Preserve.
While your child's health and safety are a top priority, we want to help them learn great truths about God through Bible teaching, songs, games, and fun activities. Our hope is that they would look forward to Preschool each week because it is a place where they are shown the love of Jesus.
K4 CLUB
The K4 Club is the place to be for kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Our goal is to support parents in the work of discipleship by joyfully presenting the Gospel and pointing children to Christ. We offer classes in The Preserve on most Sunday mornings and missions-themed classes on occasional Sunday evenings throughout the year.
In the K4 Club our goal is to learn about God and the Gospel through Bible study, songs, games, Scripture memorization, and fun activities. We want the K4 Club kids to see Jesus in all we do and come to love Him with all their hearts.
TRIBE56
Just like intermediate school serves as a bridge between elementary school and middle school, Tribe 56 serves as a transition point for 5th and 6th graders between the K-4 Club and New Life Youth. The Tribe meets in the Preserve most Sunday mornings for discipleship classes and other times throughout the year for fellowship and fun.
At Tribe 56, students will learn to understand and apply the Scriptures through reading them together, discussing their meaning and application, and praying together. Many weeks, interactive games are incorporated to build friendships between the students and help foster better discussion. We hope that our 5th and 6th graders learn to treasure God’s Word through their time together each Sunday morning.
YOUTH
Preteens and teenagers in 7th through 12th grade are invited to be part of New Life Youth. The goal of our Youth group is to see young people rooted in God’s Word, repenting of sin and trusting in Jesus, and growing in their love of Christ and His church. We meet for discipleship classes in The Preserve most Sunday mornings, with small group and prayer times for guys and girls in middle and high school. G3 (Gather, Grow, Go), our Sunday evening Bible study, meets every other week during the school year.
Throughout the year, our youth have the opportunity to develop friendships and grow together. These opportunities include regular fun activities and fellowship nights, plus Disciple-Now weekend in the spring and Youth Camp in the summer.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Every volunteer in our NextGen ministry is a member in good standing with our church body. We perform background checks on each volunteer, and have rigorous policies in place to protect the health and safety of all children.
If you have any questions about our policies, please contact us!
