Jay grew up on a ranch in Junction Texas where his family raised sheep, goats, cattle, and horses. At an early age, Jay came to know the weight of his sin and the need for repentance in accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior. Upon graduation from Junction High School he came to Texas A&M. He met his wife Darla in 1998 when they were both members of the Aggie Wrangler Dance Team. Jay and Darla were married in 2001 and have since been blessed with four beloved children. Jay is a horseshoer by trade and he and Darla own and operate Neisemier Equine Services. Whether working, playing, or doing the tasks of everyday life, Jay and Darla have a passion to equip and challenge people to know God's word and live according to His direction.
