Suffering Without Shame

Suffering Without Shame

Jan 28, 2018

Passage: 2 Timothy 1:8-18

Preacher: Allen Duty

Series: Fight the Good Fight: The Pastoral Epistles

Category: Sunday Morning

Keywords: suffering

Paul was unjustly arrested and awaiting execution. He was suffering, and the only thing worse than suffering is suffering in a shameful way. And being arrested and thrown into jail was and is a shameful experience.

But Paul wasn't ashamed, and he called Timothy not to be ashamed of the Gospel or of him. And that's because Paul trusted God's character completely.

We learned that when we trust God's character, we can share in suffering without shame.
