Training

In Ephesians 4, Paul teaches that spiritually gifted leaders in the church are, "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." To that end, we offer several training opportunities at New Life:

Discipleship Classes

Each Sunday evening at 5:00pm, we offer discipleship programming for adults, youth, children, and preschoolers. Our goal is to help people of all ages understand and apply God's Word to their lives. You can click on the following links to learn more about our Adult and Kids Ministries, and you can listen to audio recordings from our adult discipleship teachings here.

Exploring Pastoral Ministry

If you are interested in pastoral ministry, Pastor Allen leads a discussion group for you on Thursday mornings during the school year. Twice per month at 6:30 am, the group gathers in the Connect Room to discuss books on calling, the local church, and Christian leadership. Exploring Pastoral Ministry is open to any man who is a member or pursuing membership at New Life. Contact us for more information!

Multiply Groups

A Multiply Group is for any believer who desires to learn how to make disciples. Over the course of 10 weeks, the group will read through the book Spiritual Multiplication in the Real World by Dr. Bob McNabb and walk through an accompanying study guide. At each weekly meeting, the group will discuss how God has answered prayers, formed new relationships, and grown you in your faith and obedience to Christ.

Every member of a Multiply Group commits to a “3,2,1” each week - 3 hours with Jesus, 2 hours engaging the lost, and 1 hour in prayer with the group. By stepping into a Multiply Group, you will develop habits in daily time with God, evangelism, prayer for the lost, scripture memory, teamwork and obedience.

Goer Group

The Goer Group exists to equip future missionaries who plan to go to an unreached people group within the next 1-3 years. Goer Group is a 9-month commitment that includes living in community; personal prayer and study; a weekly meeting for training, prayer, and celebration; and multiple hours per week of cross-cultural evangelism.

As a member of the Goer Group, you will be held accountable to spiritual disciplines as well as ministry activities. Every group member commits to a “4,3,2,1” each week - one 4-hour meeting, 3 hours with Jesus, 2 hours engaging the lost, and 1 hour in prayer with the group. At the end of 9 months in the Goer Group, you will have an increased passion for Jesus, experience in cross-cultural disciple-making, a sharpened understanding of your calling, a deeper understanding of how to experience freedom from bondage, and met the training requirements of many sending agencies.
